About This Course

In this course we'll be delving into the world of knits: the perfect fabric for comfortable, every day clothing. And it's open to complete beginners and experience sewers alike. So if you've only ever sewn with woven fabrics before, this is chance to try something new. And if you've never touched a sewing machine before, don't worry because we'll be giving you a quick overview at the start.

Techniques taught will included: choosing knit fabric, cutting patterns, using your home sewing machine to sew knits - tips and techniques, using stabilisers and interfacings for knits, basic seams, setting in sleeves, hems and cuffs, using a twin needle.

Your canvas for this course will be the Coco by Tilly and The Buttons; a versatile pattern that can be used sewn as a top or dress. This pattern is stylish, quick, and easy; so once you've made one, you might just go home and whip up a few more!
