Up your sewing game, broaden your options, and make something new and unique for your wardrobe!

The ideal next step on from Making Clothes for Beginners, this 10-week, in-depth course is designed to reinforce your basic skill set, whilst allowing you to flourish in new areas. Topics include pattern alterations, pattern hacking, set-in sleeves, inserting collars, bust adjustments, linings, using an overlocker, sewing with knit fabric and specialty seam finishes. As you learn these techniques, you'll be applying them to your own sample and final garment, chosen from our selection of patterns.

This is a Beyond Basics course, which means that you must have a basic understanding of garment construction and how to use a sewing machine, having made at least one garment before.
