One Day Workshop // Saturday 28th March // 10am - 4pm // Cost: £120 (including pattern, elastics and fabric) // Level: Confident Beginner // Project: Sophie Hines Median Knickers
Have you struggled to find underwear in your size? Do you find that ready to wear underpants are often unflattering and ill-fitting, or are you just interested in learning the skills to build your ethical wardrobe? Learn to make your own well-fitting, comfortable, and attractive underwear with a domestic sewing machine or overlocker.
This workshop is a step-by-step guide on how to make a comfortable pair of underpants including help troubleshooting common issues like fit and proportions. We will also encourage you to explore re-using fabric from retired garments or getting creative with fabric scraps. People of all genders, sizes, and backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to attend this course.
In the safe hands of our expert teacher Cassandra, students will be introduced to the use of stretch fabrics and elastics, creating pants that fit their curves as they should. Learn to personalise the Median Knickers pattern, working with different fabrics that fits your own unique shape.
Our studio is equipped with a separate dressing room for privacy whilst changing.
Skill Level
This workshop is for confident beginners. You will have used a sewing machine before and have a basic understanding of sewing clothing.
