About This Course
The beginner's course is an ideal starting point if you're thinking about learning to sew or even if you want to brush up on your existing skills before moving on to more advanced things.
Learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine, how to use a flat pattern, basic stitches and foundationary sewing techniques. Then apply what you've learned to creating a simple garment using a fabric of your choice. Click here to have a look at the choice of garment patterns we offer to students taking this course.

Booking Your Place
To book your place on this course, you can use our online booking system below. You can pay a deposit of £10 or, if you prefer, pay the full course amount. You can pay by Paypal or any major credit/debit card. (Note that the booking system uses PayPal to process payments, but a PayPal account is not required. Simply select to pay by credit/debit card without registering at the PayPal page).
Choosing a Pattern to Make
When you come to make a booking, the online booking system will ask you to select which garment you would like to make on the course. Simply select your preferred pattern from the list; the booking system will notify us of your choice, and we can order your pattern in advance.
