Thank-you all so much for your fabulous cushion pictures! We are excited to announce our cushion sewalong results today.
And the winner is......drum roll......Miranda Hamilton!
Well done Miranda, your cushion was just delightful. Miranda's cushion featured a rather splendid bird sitting in a Christmassy looking tree. We liked the fact that she challenged herself by trying appliqué and using notoriously tricky metallic thread. Fantastic work!
This is what Miranda had to say about her cushion:
"I've just finished it and I'm thrilled! So many firsts - the main ones are my first nicely-put-in-zip and my first attempt at machine appliqué and my first time using the tricky golden thread (you warned us!). It's not perfect but I love it and am raring to have a go at another.... thank you so much for the really easy to follow instructions with all sorts of useful extra information and details - I didn't even know my machine had come with a zipper foot."
Miranda did a fantastic job with all those firsts and her prize will be winging its way to her tomorrow.
