Get expert help and the chance to meet other sewers in our community.
If you need some help with a sewing project or just some extra time in the studio with a machine, then the Sunday Sewing Sessions are ideal. Come along and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of The Stitchery, meet new people, and get expert help with your creations.
Each session is 4 hours long, but folks are welcome to come and go as they please. We have a couple sewing machines available (both computerised and mechanical) but you are welcome to bring along your own machine. We also have an overlocker (Janome 6234XL) and a coverlocker (Janome Cover Pro 2000CPX) that are available on request.
What's Included
Use of a studio sewing machine. There are three available on a first come first serve basis.
Use of the overlocker and coverlock machines.
4 hours with expert advice on your projects, including expertise in sustainable sewing practices.
Complete use of the studio space, cutting table, and tools.
A selection of threads, patterns, tools and other haberdashery for sale in studio.
A chance to meet other sewers and be more involved in the local sewing community.
Please note, the Sunday Sewing Sessions are not intended as a beginners sewing class and those attending should have a basic understanding of how to use a sewing machine. If you're looking to learn how to sew, please enquire about private tuition or have a look at our beginners courses.

To book your place on the drop in session, you can use our online booking system below. There are 4 places available for each session. Please familiarise yourself with our Terms & Conditions before making your booking. We also have extra Covid-19 policy and procedures in place, which can be viewed along with the Terms & Conditions. Please read our Covid-19 policy regarding refunds before booking.
You can pay by PayPal or any major debit/credit card. NOTE: You do not need a PayPal account to make a booking. Simply click on the link which says "pay with a debit or credit card". It looks like this.
