Free-motion embroidery is a little bit like drawing with your sewing machine: the constraints are removed, leaving you free to move your fabric around and make all sorts of wonderful motifs. This, as you may expect, is a liberating experience for anyone used to 'normal' sewing, and its bags of fun for everyone, regardless of your sewing experience.

Led by Podnip designer, Susie Haigh, this 3-day course is a fun introduction to sewing for children aged 7-14 years (although ages outside this may be considered). Students will learn sewing machine basics, hand sewing and complete some fun personalised projects. All students will make bunting, then choose from either a bag, a drawstring treasure pouch, or a cushion.
